Butterfly Outdoor Adventure stands proudly as one of Kosovo’s pioneering mountain tour companies. Founded by Uta Ibrahimi, a UIAA and UIMLA-certified mountain guide, Uta made history as the first Albanian woman to summit Everest and the first Balkan, man or woman, to climb all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks.
As true trailblazers, Butterfly Outdoor Adventure was the first to guide renowned journalists from National Geographic and Lonely Planet through the mountains of Kosovo. Over the years, Uta and her team have helped shape the region’s outdoor landscape—developing iconic hiking routes such as the High Scardus Trail and the Via Dinarica Kosovo. The company also proudly contributes to the Trans Dinarica Trail, a spectacular biking and biking route stretching from Albania to Slovenia.
From hiking and biking to ski touring across Kosovo, Albania, and North Macedonia our mission is simple: to craft unforgettable adventures that reveal the untamed beauty and spirit of the Balkans.
