Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Included: Airport transfer, accommodation, dinner, and briefing with the guide.
- Arrive at Prishtina Airport, meet your guide and transfer to Peja, a charming mountain town at the edge of the Rugova Valley.
- Accommodation at Bora Hostel (shared rooms/bunkhouse and shared bathrooms).
- Evening briefing about the journey ahead.
Day 2: Podi i Jakupit – Hajla Peak
Trail: 11 km | Climb: 700m | 5–6 hours | Easy
Included: Transfer, accommodation.
- After breakfast, travel one-hour by car to the Podi i Jakupit trailhead.
- Start hiking towards Hajla Peak (2,403m), one of the most iconic peaks along the Kosovo-Montenegro border.
- Walk through vast meadows and gentle ascents with panoramic views.
- Overnight at the cozy and remote Era Hut.
Day 3: Hajla – Boge
Trail: 13 km | Climb: 500m | 4 hours | Easy
Included: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner, and accommodation.
- Hike through diverse terrains—wildflower meadows, hawthorn bushes, and pine forests.
- Pass by multiple Hajla peaks with panoramic views of Çfërla and Kopranik massifs.
- The trail finishes in the alpine village of Boge, known for its hospitality and cuisine.
- Overnight at alpine village Boge.
Day 4: Boge – Haxhaj
Trail: 15 km | Climb: 1,300m | Moderate
Included: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner, and accommodation.
- Continue along the border ridge with Montenegro, surrounded by alpine peaks.
- Trek through ancient pine forests, open pastures, and ridges with dramatic backdrops.
- Conclude the day at Shkambi A. Resort in the tranquil village of Haxhaj.
Day 5: Haxhaj – Kuqishte
Trail: 11 km | Climb: 1,100m | Moderate
Included: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner, and accommodation.
- Travel through forests and open meadows with wild berries and views of Maja e Licit.
- Meander through peaceful, unspoiled landscape ending at Kuqishte village.
- Accommodation options include traditional guesthouses near Liqenat Lake, with an option for wild swimming.
Day 6: Kuqishte – Milishec
Trail: 12 km | Climb: 1,200m | Moderate
Included: Breakfast, lunch pack, dinner, and accommodation.
- Start the day with a gentle hike toward alpine lakes—Liqeni i Kuqishtës and Liqeni i Drelajve – and another chance to swim in pristine water.
- Cross the Qafa e Jelenkës pass with stunning alpine views, before descending to the charming and historic Zllonopojë village.
- Stay at Lojza Guesthouse, known for mountain hospitality and homemade food.
Day 7: Milishec – Gacaferi
Trail: 18 km | Climb: 800m | Easy
Included: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner, and accommodation.
- Hike through the spectacular Roshkodol Valley and Beleg Mountain (Bjeshka e Belegut).
- Enjoy natural water springs, scenic ridgelines, and ancient forests.
- End the day at the remote Gacaferi Guest House in Pllaqica e Junikut.
Day 8: Gacaferi – Gropat
Trail: 15 km | Climb: 1,200m | Moderate
Included: Breakfast, packed lunch, dinner, and accommodation in Prishtina.
- The last day includes sweeping views of alpine lakes and peaks and an option to summit Gjeravica (2,656m), the second highest peak in the Accursed Mountains.
- Experience the source of the Erenik River and a diverse ecosystem.
- Trail finishes in Gropa e Erenikut. We’ll travel back by car (1 hour) to Prishtina.
Day 9: Departure
- After breakfast, transfer to Prishtina Airport, travel home or transfer to other destinations in Kosovo or the Balkans.
