The Sharr Mountains are among the most beautiful mountain ranges in Kosovo, renowned for their rich biodiversity and diverse ecosystems. Their exceptional natural value is the reason they were declared Kosovo’s first National Park.
Within the Sharr range, in the municipality of Prizren, lies the stunning Skarpa Peak, one of the many remarkable summits in the Opoja region.

Skarpa Peak is located in the border between Kosovo and North Macedonia is with an altitude of 2’476 m. On the way to the peak you will be able to see, “Vertopi” “Maja e Zeze”, Liqeni i Karanikolles”. The view from Skarpa peak is like a 360-degree view and is very beautiful but the sunset is the cherry on the top, which is why we don’t want to miss it. Even though we encourage hikers to enjoy the moment, in this case, we recommend taking out your cameras for spectacular photos.
The hike is considered easy and gentle, making it ideal for beginners and children.
Itinerary
- We start our trip in Prishtina and drive towards Prizren. After spending 2 hours in Prizren, we will drive continue driving to the village Shtruza, the starting point of the hike.
- After the hike, we drive back Prizren – Prishtina.
