The details

Create memories with BOA as you relax and connect with nature on a family camping adventure in Albania’s breathtaking Valbonë Valley.

Valbone is surrounded by towering peaks, crystal-clear rivers, and fresh alpine air, creating the perfect setting for unforgettable moments and family fun. BOA will organize short hiking trips, tailored to the group’s interest and experience level. The trip will also provide time to play along the river’s edge, looking for mountain goals and gathering around the campfire under a sky full of stars.

We will tailor the hikes to the group’s interest and experience. Potential hikes to include:

  • A gentle walk along the Valbona River floor. The route follows gravel paths and meadow tracks through the valley, passing small hamlets and traditional guesthouses. It’s mostly flat and offers views of jagged peaks without climbing.
  • A short hike to Kukaj village, a tiny seasonal settlement tucked deeper into the valley. The trail follows forest edges and open clearings that unveil dramatic mountain views.
  • A slightly longer hike on the lower approach toward the Valbona Pass. The lower section of this historic trail will climbs gradually through beech forest and alpine meadows with rewarding views throughout.
